Understanding Time Slots
Time slots are the building blocks of your practice plan. Each slot represents a dedicated period for a specific activity.
Creating Time Slots
Quick Add
- Click Add Time Slot or the + button
- Enter activity name
- Set duration
- Save
Detailed Add
- Click Add Time Slot
- Fill in all fields:
- Activity name
- Duration
- Description
- Attached content
- Configure options
- Save
Time Slot Properties
Basic Information
- Name - Activity title (e.g., "Team Warmup")
- Duration - Length in minutes
- Description - Details about the activity
Attached Content
Link relevant content to each slot:
- Plays - From your playbook
- Drills - Documented drill instructions
- Videos - Reference clips
- Files - PDFs, images, documents
Categories
Categorize slots by type:
- Warmup
- Individual Work
- Position Work
- Team Work
- Special Teams
- Conditioning
- Cool Down
Editing Time Slots
Inline Edit
Click on any time slot to edit its properties directly.
Full Editor
Click the edit icon for the full editor with all options.
Quick Adjustments
- Drag to reorder slots
- Drag edges to adjust duration
- Double-click to edit name
Reordering Time Slots
Drag and drop to rearrange your practice schedule:
- Click and hold a time slot
- Drag to new position
- Release to drop
The times automatically recalculate.
Duplicating Time Slots
Copy a slot to repeat similar activities:
- Click the menu (⋮) on a slot
- Select Duplicate
- The copy appears below
- Edit as needed
Deleting Time Slots
- Click the menu (⋮) on a slot
- Select Delete
- Confirm removal
Time Calculations
Automatic Scheduling
- Set practice start time
- Each slot's start/end calculates automatically
- Total practice duration shown
Adjusting Times
- Change slot duration → following slots shift
- Add buffer time between slots
- Include transition periods
Best Practices
Slot Duration
- Keep most slots 10-20 minutes
- Include water breaks (5-10 min)
- Plan transitions (2-3 min)
Naming
- Be specific ("Infield Ground Ball Drills" not "Infield")
- Include focus area if relevant
- Keep names scannable
Content Attachment
- Attach plays for team installs
- Link drill documentation
- Include setup diagrams
