Play Editor Tools
A complete guide to all the tools available in the Athmete play editor.
Toolbar Overview
The toolbar contains all the tools you need to create plays:

Selection Tools
Select Tool
- Click to select players, routes, or objects
- Drag to create a selection box for multiple items
- Hold Shift to add to selection
Pan Tool
- Click and drag to move around the canvas
- Useful for large formations
Player Tools
Add Offensive Player
Adds players in your team's primary color.
Add Defensive Player
Adds players in a contrasting color.
Player Options
Right-click a player to:
- Change label/number
- Change color
- Delete player
- Copy/paste
Drawing Tools
Line Tool
Draw straight lines between two points.
Curve Tool
Draw curved paths:
- Click to set start point
- Click to add curve points
- Double-click to finish
Arrow Tool
Add directional arrows to show movement.
Route Tools
Run Route
Solid line indicating a running path.
Pass Route
Dashed line for passing routes.
Block Assignment
Shows who blocks whom.
Motion Line
Indicates pre-snap motion.
Text & Shapes
Text Tool
Add labels, play calls, or notes anywhere on the canvas.
Rectangle
Draw rectangles for zones or emphasis.
Circle
Draw circles for areas or targets.
Canvas Controls
Zoom
- + / - buttons to zoom in/out
- Mouse scroll wheel
- Pinch on touchscreen
Undo/Redo
- Ctrl+Z to undo
- Ctrl+Y to redo
- Use toolbar buttons
Grid Toggle
Show or hide the field grid for alignment.
Field View
Switch between:
- Full field
- Red zone
- Goal line
- Custom view
