Core Concepts

Understanding the key concepts in Athmete will help you get the most out of the platform.

Teams

A Team is the central organizational unit in Athmete. Everything—plays, practice plans, rosters, events—belongs to a team.

  • Each team has its own branding (colors, logo)
  • Teams can have multiple members with different roles
  • Users can belong to multiple teams

Plays & Playbook

The Playbook is where you design and organize your plays.

Plays

A Play is a visual diagram showing player positions, movements, and assignments.

  • Contains formations with player positions
  • Includes routes, blocks, and assignments
  • Can have multiple variants (e.g., different defensive looks)

Formations

A Formation defines the starting positions of players before the play begins.

  • Saved separately from plays for reuse
  • Can be offensive or defensive

Tags

Use Tags to categorize and filter plays:

  • Organize by situation (e.g., "Goal Line", "3rd and Long")
  • Organize by concept (e.g., "Zone Run", "Play Action")
  • Filter quickly during practice or games

Practice Plans

Practice Plans organize your training sessions with structured schedules.
